92 MEPs have urged Chancellor Angela Merkel to put transparency of decision-making in the Council, lobby transparency, and tackling privileged access to decision-makers at the heart of the upcoming German EU Presidency.

For the past 15 years, industry lobby groups have controlled the use of €3.6 billion in public EU funds for health and climate research through two public-private partnerships, at the expense of the public interest.
